MISSION
Colaborando Juntos is an innovative network of government, nonprofit, education, faith, private and community volunteers who work with and for the Latino/Hispanic community and its well being. CJ is a membership organization which increases public awareness of critical issues by encouraging partnerships and developing resources. CJ serves the Central Virginia region. “Colaborando Juntos”…it means working together.
PRINCIPLES
1) CJ facilitates an exchange of ideas, where Latino/Hispanic and U.S. cultures learn from each other and enrich their mutual understanding.
2) CJ activities serve to educate, inform, and increase community awareness.
3) CJ is a catalyst for action-oriented solutions.
4) CJ members operate in a collaborative fashion, seeking to identify needs, coordinate efforts, and fill gaps in service provision rather than duplicate services
